What is Picsashoot?

Picsashoot is a platform for booking personal photographer online targeting the independent photographer and individual customers. ​

The concept

Booking a photographer with the right budget and right skills is difficult. It takes a lot of time to research and compare. Often, the prices of hiring a photographer are not transparent. Customers have no way to find the perfect information. At the same time, there is not enough employment for the photographers in the market. Individual photographers are always looking for chances to sell their photography. Picsashoot bridges the photographers and clients with a secure platform

Identify the pain points

For Individual customers
  • No price transparency in the market
  • Hiring photographers through referral of personal connection. The quality of the photographers cannot be assured. 
  • Availability of the photographer is not clear.

For photographers
  • Customers do not understand technical requirements and how photographers work. 
  • Young photographers do not have knowledge of running a business, such as handling marketing and business contracts.
  • Dispute for refunding happens, payment for shooting jobs are not secure.

 Design process - Ideation

  • We sell photography service as a standardized package. Price and availability are clearly displayed.
  • We provide the reviews system for the customer to reference the quality of photographers. 
  • We provide pre-set questions of photo-shooting packages to customers, which facilitate the communication between the photographer and customer. 
  • We should provide standard the shooting procedure and refund policy.

Prototyping

The clickable prototype was made by Invision, a prototyping program that allows users  upload sketch file into with hot link. The purpose of this prototype was to conduct testing with user. Therefore, it was made in high-fedility with precise graphics and animations.

After all

Due to another successful business model, Briefy, was established. Picsashoot project were terminated. But it brings me valuable experience on UI design, conducting user research and prototyping experience.
